The Spanish and French have arrived in the Carribean and set up theys outposts on two new islands. Be ready fer a mighty fight when ye be boardin their ghost ships. They are well armed and they are well crewed with lots of skells swarming the decks. NOTE: A couple of blasts with grape shot from yer cannons before boarding will tip the odds in yer favor. Those of you who try boarding alone should be well prepaired with yer staff. These skellys are a little tougher then yer ordinary bone yard crew.

PotCO rolled out the latest update last night on the Test Servers, and it is going to make a lot of people happy. Although there isn't a new storyline, there is quite a bit of new content. So, consider this a Preview of Coming Attractions --

Weapons Upgrades for sword, pistol, dagger, doll, and staff. We will receive the weapon upgrades through new quests. (Note: These are temporarily disabled as PotCO modifies how exactly we are to obtain the quests.)

When boarding the flag ships I always use my cutlass since its the strongest weapon I have at this moment. T'was over on TEST tonight -- and there's a new circle in the "Ship Maneuvers" section of the Sailing skill! Upon moving me cursor over it, the following was revealed:

Although it's the last circle (after Take Cover), there is no other indication at what level the skill might unlock.

Well I have spent nearly all me coin now in the new shops. My smaller pirates will have a time of it trying to get a new ship, when I need an outfit for various occassions. I'll need one for boarding parties, running quests, hanging outside the bars, the beach, then one for the boss battle when it comes.

I am sooo upset they took my half shirt from me and made it long, grrrr! I am rather disapointed that they have no arm bands or braclets esp since they are clearly on display. A necklace ...

It's more difficult than I thought it would be. Even with a decent-size crew, they don't quite make it to Goliath. (And even if they had, the Pearl was so damaged, the end result would've been the same.)

The Crossbones Crew's gonna be needin' all our skills to get through this one -- but I can't wait to try!

A pirate does not ask for directions. He relies only on his gut feeling, a compass, or a treasure map.

Parrots are the preferred pirate companion. Monkeys are an acceptable substitute, unless they fling their feces at people. Then they are an awesome substitute.

When fishing, a pirate uses either a sword, a knife, or his bare hands. Use of a hook is only acceptable in the event the pirate is missing a hand.

The new stores and customization updates are on the Test Servers now, so I imagine they'll be makin' their way to Open soon. For those who don't have access, here's a pic of me pirate Tobias sportin' his brand new tatt in the clothes shop on PR.

There are literally hundreds of pages of clothes to go through - all divided up by type (vests, shirts, coats, hats, belts, etc.) Not a lot of variety of styles, but tons of different colors. Prices range anywhere from about 200 gold into the thousands.

I would like to thank, Oake, Angry Al, Kat, Darksilver and Sirene for the blast that I had playing pirates in a long time the other night. You mates are great just think I only ended up in the brig once (or was it twice) which was this dumb pirates fault herself. If it wasn't for your help I wouldn't of gotten my new dolly and (2000 rep points alone) closer to my level 15 on me pistol. Last night made up for the the bad times this mate had playing the game in the past 2 weeks.
